Using a SCIMAST professional development training held in Port Aransas, TX, as a departure point, the issue demonstrates some of the factors all good field trips share and what teachers, principals, and students can do to make sure a field experience enhances classroom learning. Included are activities for teachers and students as well as a field experience checklist of steps and considerations for creating useful and exciting field experiences.
