  • Glamser, M. C. (1998, April 19). Notes from a teacher/soldier in the learning revolution. The Houston Chronicle.

What is the learning revolution? In this short editorial, Glamser describes her transition from a teacher-centered teacher to student-centered teacher. The learning revolutionÑa new focus on students taking charge of their learning through direct exploration, expression, and experienceÑhas pushed or drawn her in this direction. It is not easy for teachers to undergo this transition. Glamser describes her personal feelings as a "teacher/soldier," thus making the dilemmas and tensions teachers face come alive for the reader.
