November
SECC presented a report from the three Assessment Study Group meetings to the State Board of Education for consideration as the board approached the decision about which Common Core State Standards assessment option—PARCC, SMARTER Balanced, state-developed, or commercial assessment—they will adopt. The board decided to review the report and take more time to explore the four assessment options prior to making a decision about which assessment to select. After such careful consideration, the SMARTER Balanced assessment was chosen.
