Current Work

Recovery School District: SEDL designs and delivers training sessions on literacy for teachers, literacy coaches, reading interventionists, and principals in the Louisiana Recovery School District, which was established to turn around underperforming schools in New Orleans. SEDL also provides onsite support.

Professional Development: SEDL offers professional development sessions related to the CBAM tools and the Professional Teaching and Learning Cycle (PTLC). The PTLC is an ongoing process designed to help schools change by improving the quality of professional development, increasing professional collaboration among staff members, using data to inform instruction, aligning instruction with standards and assessment, developing instructional coherence, monitoring student learning, and developing leadership support systems for continuous improvement.
