Current Work

Professional Development: SEDL offers professional development sessions related to student assessment. The Quality Classroom Assessment training package helps teachers, school administrators, and other educators make the most effective use of assessment. Participants examine their own classroom or school assessment practices and explore a variety of assessment formats and strategies.

Southeast Comprehensive Center: SEDL’s Southeast Comprehensive Center (SECC) works with the state departments of education of Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, and South Carolina to build their capacity to implement the No Child Left Behind Act and to support high-needs schools in improvement efforts. The SECC also delivers professional development sessions on student assessment.

Texas Comprehensive Center: SEDL’s Texas Comprehensive Center (TXCC) works with Texas Education Agency staff to build their capacity to implement the No Child Left Behind Act and to support high-needs schools in improvement efforts. The TXCC also delivers professional development sessions on student assessment.
