Caddo Parish School Board Experience/Education
Mr. Watson served as a corporate secretary to the 12-member Caddo Parish School Board. He directed all programs pursuant to the district's 75 schools, 43,300 students, and 6,500 employees. Previously, he was the assistant superintendent of support services for the Caddo Parish School Board. Mr. Watson has helped develop and lead many of the Louisiana Department of Education reforms in various positions since 1994, such as confidential assistant to the state superintendent, assistant superintendent for the office of student and school performance, director of school standards, accountability, and assistance, project facilitator for the Louisiana content standards development project, and program manager for the job training partnership act.
Mr. Watson holds an MEd in secondary education and a BS in biology education from Louisiana State University.
