Matthew Causey is the Chairman of SEDL's Board of Directors.

Southern University at New Orleans Experience/Education
Dr. Causey serves as the associate vice chancellor for academic affairs at Southern University at New Orleans where he is also an associate professor of mathematics. Previously, he was dean of the College of Science. He served as chair of the Department of Mathematics and Physics from 1991–1996 and has been a member of the faculty since 1970. He has actively promoted reforms in math and science and has been involved in programs designed to integrate technology into the curriculum.
Dr. Causey received a bachelor's degree in mathematics education from Southern University, a master's in mathematics from Loyola University and a doctorate from the University of Houston. Dr. Causey is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Greater New Orleans Regional Science and Engineering Fair and at the Board of Advocates for the New Orleans Science and Mathematics High School.
